These are the faces of unknown children who struggle with the reality they live in; the reality that offers no alternative but hardship. As you can see, the spear of life is aimed at each one of them, broken while standing, walking while limping, smiling while crying.

This painting takes a new realistic style. The Jumprider on the left side of the picture is a representation of COVID-19 virus which “jumped” over borders and spread in the whole world. Fortunately, medical workers (symbolized by the lambcarrier) all over the world worked together and tried to keep the virus under control. Men and women all over the world who helped the COVID-19 patients (symbolized by the lamb) are heroes! Love and science will defeat the virus

The tree is one of the most universal symbols of human spiritual culture. It symbolizes the central axis of the world, connecting heaven and earth; it represents man and his path to spiritual heights; it is associated with fertility and prosperity, but most importantly, it is the embodiment of life and peace. In China, many ethnic groups observe the folk tradition of tying red ribbons and red cloth strips to the tree.

The symbolism of 1,000 paper cranes is well known. The crane has long been a symbol of good health, longevity, truth, and fidelity in Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultures. Folding 1,000 paper cranes has also become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times across the world.

Flags that originated in China are also seen as a symbol of admiration and recognition. In international competitions, the winners are honored by raising their national flags. The sun, which not only determines our everyday life, but also gives us light and life on earth, deserves the highest respect and recognition.

The composition reflects the fight against COVID-19. In this composition, an archer holds the Olympic flame which enlightens a dark sky and succeeds the equilibrium between light and dark. The artist hopes that her printed flame from Athens will bring good luck and a hope for a better future.
